Cookies & Advertising Policy

This page explains the difference between the browser storage our calculator uses and the cookies that advertising partners may use.

Last updated: November 1, 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website or service places in your browser. They can remember settings, help services work, or be used by advertisers to measure and personalize ads.

2. What browser local storage is

Local storage is a browser feature that lets a website keep information on your device. Unlike cookies, it is not sent to servers with each page request.

3. How PercentageSnap uses browser storage

PercentageSnap itself does not set cookies. It uses local storage only for the two features described below.

4. Recent calculations and saved results

Up to 8 recent calculations and up to 50 saved results are kept in your browser’s local storage so you can see them later. They stay on your device, are not synchronized anywhere, and can be removed with the Clear options on the calculator page or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

5. Hosting and technical cookies

The site’s hosting and infrastructure providers may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to deliver pages securely and protect against abuse.

6. Advertising cookies and similar technologies

Advertising on the main calculator page is provided by Google AdSense. When ads load, Google and its partners may set or read cookies, use device identifiers, or use similar technologies to serve ads, measure performance, prevent fraud and limit how often you see an ad. Ads are not loaded on the guides, legal pages, About page or Share page.

7. Personalized and non-personalized advertising

Personalized ads are based on information such as your previous visits to this and other websites. Non-personalized ads rely mainly on context, such as the page content and your general location, though cookies may still be used for frequency capping, measurement and fraud prevention. You can control ad personalization in Google My Ad Center, and opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info.

8. Analytics technologies

No separate analytics service or analytics cookies have been added to PercentageSnap. The hosting platform provides aggregated visit statistics based on the technical information described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-party providers

The third parties involved are the site’s hosting provider, Google AdSense for advertising, and Google Fonts for the site’s typeface. Each processes information under its own privacy policy.

10. Managing cookies and browser storage

Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and site data. Blocking cookies may change which ads you see, but it may not stop every form of advertising technology, and ads may still appear. Clearing site data will also remove your recent calculations and saved results.

11. Privacy choices and consent

Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google may show a consent message asking for your choices before personalized ads are used. You can change advertising choices at any time through that message, where shown, or through Google My Ad Center.
